Manufacturer warranties are provided by the manufacturer of the materials you choose for your roof or siding installation. They typically cover defects in materials and vary in duration – generally lasting 20 to 30 years, although some offer coverage for up to 50 years or have a “lifetime” option. Manufacturer warranties usually have a sliding scale for how much will be covered, with 100% coverage within the first five years that decreases gradually every year or two beyond that.
